The four twisted pairs are separated by a high-grade central PVC spine. This physical separation is what distinguishes true Cat6 from Cat5e - it holds the pairs apart along the full length of the run, cutting near-end crosstalk and keeping packet loss negligible even at sustained Gigabit speeds.

A large share of Cat6 cable sold in India is copper-clad aluminium (CCA) - aluminium wire with a thin copper skin. It looks identical on the reel and costs noticeably less, but it carries higher resistance, fails certification on long runs, becomes brittle at termination, and overheats under PoE load. Nakoda Cat6 uses solid bare copper throughout. If a quotation you are comparing is dramatically cheaper, ask the supplier to state the conductor material in writing.
Both Cat6 and Cat5e support Gigabit Ethernet speeds of 1000 Mbps. The difference is bandwidth: Cat5e is rated to 100 MHz while Cat6 is rated to 250 MHz. Cat6 also uses a central PVC spine to separate the four pairs, which reduces crosstalk and packet loss. For new installations, Cat6 is the better long-term choice.
Nakoda supplies Cat6 cable in 100 metre and 305 metre boxes. The 305 metre box is the standard pull-box size for structured cabling projects. Custom drum lengths are available on bulk orders.
The maximum recommended horizontal run for Cat6 is 90 metres of solid cable, plus up to 10 metres of patch cord at each end, for a 100 metre total channel. Beyond this, signal quality degrades and a switch or repeater is required.
Yes. Cat6 cable supports PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ applications. The thicker conductor and lower resistance of bare copper reduce heat build-up in bundled runs, which is why bare copper is the correct choice for PoE installations.
