Introduction and Use of the CAT5 cable[D1]

cThere are two types available in video baluns: High Definition and Standard. These can be used in conjunction with HD 1080P cameras and DVR recorders. Both the sockets and screw-in DC outlets transmit power. The plug is located at the camera's edge while the socket is at its end, and the DVR is near the camera power supply.

Accessing the Web User Interface for the DVR on a PC without a Modem or Router

First, set up your DVR close to your computer. The ethernet nakoda power cablewill connect to it. Connect one end of the DVR to the computer. You will need to connect your TV or monitor to your DVR to change your Network Settings. After you have joined, log in to your DVR.

After logging in, navigate to the TCP/IP tab under Network Settings via the Main Menu.

Main Menu > Network Settings> TCP/IP

The Default Network Configuration will now be displayed on your screen. To access the DVR on your computer, you must change the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway.

Log in to your computer and start an internet browser. This is the only way to access the Web UI via your computer.

It will be evident that using the default IP address to access the DVR will not work. To match the Computer and DVR, we will need the new Network Configuration copied from the computer.

Open the command prompt on your personal computer. It is easiest to locate it by using your start menu, searching for "cmd.exe," and then running the application.

Enter "ipconfig" in the search box and hit enter.

Scroll down until the Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection appears.

You will need the Auto configuration IP address and subnet mask. Either leave the window open or take down this information. It's time to return to the DVR.

The DVR will require changes to the IP Address. With the computer shown and the images, I would not be able to use 197 on my DVR. Change the IP Address last digit to 198 or 99, and use any number between 0-255.

Check DHCP to make the Network Settings Static. They will not change when connected with any other Local Area Network, Ethernet Port, or another Local Area Network.

Copy the information to the DVR as shown above, using the IP address as the IP Address, and the last number in the Address changed. The Subnet Mask should be identical, and the Default Gateway must be changed to the IP Address found on the computer. However, the last number in that address must be changed to 1.

After you have made the necessary changes, apply and save the configuration.

Now, go back to your computer.

Open your Internet Browser, type the Static IP Address for the DVR into the address bar, and hit enter. You will see the Web UI. You may need to install plugins to allow this feature to work.

Once the plugins have been installed, you can run them on this website.

After plugins are allowed, log in to the DVR using the Username/Password. If the DVR has not been changed to a default username or password, you can log in using the default username ("admin") and password ("admin").

Finally, the Web UI is accessible. You'll be able to view the camera, playback the recordings from the Hard Drive, and modify the DVR settings.

The TV or monitor used to view DVRs is no longer necessary, and you can now monitor DVRs directly from your computer.
